Good work Daniel. I like your idea for this miniature and I like Starcraft to so you have me there. The base suits her very nice and it build the atmosphere just as you wanted. I think that her eyes are a little weird and the armour could use a little more light but I think that’s is all. Could you tell me how did you make those zerg mutated walls ?? I as this because in some time I will start making a Aliens themed diorama and it could get useful. Once again congrats :D
Thank you. :)
The slime stuff is easy. Cover an area with a lot of wood glue. Then drop some loads of liquid super glue on top. Wait 30 seconds. Start messing around wit a toothpic. Test it on a sheet of plastic card and you will understand the principle pretty quickly. :)
Outstanding piece, Daniel.
Nice topic and wonderful realization.
A few days ago I faced a problem with taking pictures of a mini, which has different moods and colours scheme depending on direction of looking at it. It was almost impossible to catch the right colours and brightness/darkness. I can imagine that it probably has been as hard with that one. Therefore I'm looking forward to see your Sarah Kerrigan live somewhere... sometime... HvB?
Although I'm not familiar with Starcraft, I absolurtely love this piece of miniature art, you have really captured the two sides of this heroines personality and your use of colour is incredible.
