Abaddon - First Captain of The Sons of Horus
Abaddon is an iconic evil character from Warhammer 40,000. This sculpt is from Forgeworld and represents him during the dark days of The Horus Heresy where he led elements of the traitor Sons of Horus against loyalist members of their own Legion on the bloody fields of Istvaan. I used an airbrush to create the different shades of black on his armour before going in with a brush to finish the work. I used Citadel, Vallejo and Scale75 acrylic paints and Forgeworld weathering powders as well as artists graphite on the base. This miniature is part of a larger personal collection from the Horus Heresy. My favorite parts are the face (which looks a bit like Arnie) and the sword. All the best, Jon.
