This was an artbox i did for Knightmodels some years ago. i tried to capture the feeling of the dare devil comics. A very gloomy and mysterious ambiance. to achieve that i imagined him in top of a tomb, in the graveyard environment. to create that feeling i must do 2 different lighting effects. the problem of this beautiful mini made by Carles Vaquero is that as the position of the body is looking down. is not possible to highlight him and achieve the volumetry in a normal way. the back receives the major light and the frontal part is in a very obscure illumination. that is why this exercise was pretty difficult. to achieve every element clear and defined, without loosing the dark and gloomy feeling and receiving the light in the backside to achieve also clipping light that create various views that could be choosen as a comic cover design.
