I painted this model as my post-GenCon cool down. I just wanted to do something that was fun where I could experiment a bit and work on a few points I need to improve upon. I focused on using more directional lighting, building up an organic base and snow cover. <br />

This was a fun piece but challenging at times. I don't typically paint such neutral color schemes and not having any bright colors on it was making my brain freak out a bit. I just had to wait until I got to the end of painting him to fully realize the piece. I'm pretty happy with the way he turned out.

Hi Meg, this piece turned really great out. I like the colour harmony you created very much. Painting realistick / historick miniatures fits to your style. I see that you had fun and so the experimentations are good done. The base is cool, nice snow, maybe I would use lasercut leaves and not the leaves from birches. Best wishes to you, thank you for posting I enjoy Sash

What leaf product do you recommend if you don't like birch? This is the first I am hearing that birch pods aren't a good option so I am curious to find out what other people use.
