Thanks, David! Yeah, I have close-ups of every goblin in the diorama. Some of them are so cool, too, with all credit going to the sculptor, Jody Siegel of Imbrian Arts (at least for the goblins on the left side -- the goblins on the other side are from Crucible). Jody's details are amazing -- one of the goblins is wearing a cloak of leaves, and on his back, there are two tiny owls peaking out from under the leaves.
Excellent work mike. Yes the sculptor gets credit. But a great paintjob embellished the work of the sculptor.and this is fantastik on both sculptor and painter here.
Thank you, sir! It's so nice to hear such a nice compliment so many years later.
As it turns out, when I moved house a couple of years ago, the movers pretty much destroyed this diorama, despite all my precautions. As a matter of fact, it was the only hobby piece that was damaged. I have kept all the pieces (well, I *think* I have all the pieces) with the thought of rebuilding it someday. I'm still unsure if I'll follow through with it, or just find another way to display these unique and rare goblins (and troll). I still feel a little ill, when I think about it, actually. But I think I'll eventually feel motivated to bring life back to these figures, one way or another.
