Lost in the Dark
" 'Will you walk into my parlour?' said the Spider to the Fly"
This little hobbit has lost the path and wandered into the wrong part of the forest. While not meant to be a specific scene from the Hobbit, this project definitely took it's inspiration from the Mirkwood section of the book and the giant spiders. This was my first serious attempt at OSL (and a bit of NMM) so it was a big learning experience. I wanted to approach the OSL a little differently, painting all of the 'dark' sections in a monochromatic blue-black and only using color in the lit regions. I hope you like the end result.
The main figure is Olfo Fastfeet from Andrea miniatures (1/35 scale although as a halfling he's only about 30mm tall). The spider is from Otherworld Miniatures.

I'm terrified of spiders so I always have to look at half this scene but I love it anyway. :)
