This weekend I went to the Dogma 48 challenge organized by my comminuty "C'est Lavis" in Fribourg.
I always have a special place in my heart for this event and our growing community. getting together, painting together, inspiring each other, having fun, is heartwarming and I love it.
About my challenge this year, it was a bit different. Dogma48 tends to be a moment decidated to letting go, goingt to the heart of the project, but that's something I tend to not have too many issues with, on the contrary. My goal this time was to push as much as possible, to not let go until time decided that I was finished, to paint until the end, and refine things that I might have let go otherwise.
I really enjoyed this challenge, and as we were painting in my dance school, which is dedicated to swing dances, I found it really appropriate trying to paint the jazz musician from Marc Masclans It was a wonderful model to paint, a very lovely sculpt and the first time I tried to paint such a dark skintone, very interesting.
Anyway, that was a long text, I hope you'll have a wonderful end of weekend, see you on the next post :*

Silver. Really like the vibes going on here. There's some tonal issues going on with the skin and metal, but I really like the textures on the fabric and the overall approach.Quentin_Poin
Thank you for the feedback Tristan!Marc MussatPLUS
moi j'aime beaucoup même s'il est vrai que les valeurs tonales sont parfois un poil fortes ! mais c'est ce qui donne l'originalité à ta pièce ! or !Quentin_Poin
