This bust explores the concept of a machine designed for conflict encountering something fragile and unexpected.

I worked mainly with desaturated metallics, trying to keep the armor readable without pushing it into hyper-realism. The skin was layered using cool tones to maintain a synthetic feel while still giving the face subtle emotion.

Lighting was an important part of the storytelling: I used warm and cold contrasts to separate planes and bring out the volumes without overwhelming the softer narrative elements, like the butterfly.

It was a conscious choice to leave the armor relatively clean — I wanted the piece to feel suspended in a moment, before decay or violence could resume.
