Hereby, I am sharing my latest work. This was a very special project for me. I painted it as a surprise present to my parents, who are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary this year.
When I was young, my dad introduced me to the Dark Crystal and the movie is still very dear to me.
As the puppets in the original series were very beige, I decided to give these busts a little bit of my own interpretation. I tried adding a bit more life to the characters. Also, I removed the wings from Kira, as I did not think it added to the piece.
With both characters facing different directions, it was a little hard to photograph, but I hope you like this sweet pair :)
