My first bust, the brilliant Captain Ahab from Scale75.

Thoroughly enjoyed painting this guy. Lots of lovely space for me to just focus on the painting and conveying not just light and volume but also textures. I spent a long time trying to capture all the different materials, the woods, materials, skin and metal.

Will definitely be doing another bust soon.
