“The Valley of the Crosses, The Valley of the Losses”, Hurtgen Forrest, 1944
Think I'm done...

"Valley of the Crosses, Valley of the Losses"
Hurtgen Forrest, 1944.
1:35.

After a poem from Andrew Fetler who fought there:

Valley of Crosses
Valley of the losses
Why this sadness?
Mother Huertgen, are you listening?
Do you feel the warming breeze?
Do your hills resound with whistling
Where boys tramps with naked knees?
Hush, be still, my sons are sleeping,
They are tired of the war,
Flowers grow, but they are weeping,
Naked knees they’ll see no more

Lest we forget

A great diorama, I enjoyed the position of every figure in relation with the action over the wounded GI. It is a great composition. Well-balanced.

Fantastic diorama. Very well composed, with action passig through different levels. Great groundwork, colours and detailing. If you had used dwarfs and elves rather than historical figures, I’m sure more people would have voted gold, which is what this work clearly deserves. ;-) Adrian
