My project for Monte 2024 was another @zabaart_ miniature! This time it wasKing Luminard! As I loved doing Sir Waxly on Sluggy, I had a free snail and so I decided to combine King Luminard and him. I had a lot of fun coming up with the idea and executing it.

I was told by Jan and Lukas to go simpler with my colours so on this project I tried that. And I think that overall colour choices do reflect that and while the scheme is simpler, it still works. The painting of the figure was very enjoyable and really made for oils. The surfaces are open and your brush can dance a lot. The face could use more refinement and a better definition of the shadows. And that happened because I rushed and was not more patient. But that is the way with oils. Other than that, I am very proud of the base and the podium. I really enjoyed the creation of it.

As is my tradition, I finished this project a few hours before departing to Monte. This time because the primer I used peeled off its black colour and it had to be reprimed with a different primer than the AK one. But the figure was already attached
