The beautiful base is from Richard at Oakwood Studios. It is a piece of Bog Oak. Because I wanted to display the lumberjack on a nice piece of wood, I asked Richard if he might have a suitable piece of 'nice wood, with a nice grain and maybe some rough bark'. Richard did not disappoint.
