For a long time I wanted to paint something that represents living with fibromyalgia and other chronic pain conditions. I actually got into paint as a hobby to keep me busy and distract me through the pain, so for me this was a really emotional and important piece. I wanted to make it natural but impactful and play with textures both with the plinth and the skin.
Most of all I wanted to get across an emotional feeling, understanding and awareness.
