Hello painters!
This time I would like to introduce you my historical project. I really like this landsknecht pose and appearance. I tried to interpret different textures, and I also used non-metallic metals. I replaced the flamberge (a two-handed flame-bladed sword) with a more accurate one from 3D_knight on Cults3d. The terrain is meant to simulate late November 1526, in northern Italy, at the junction of the Mincio and Po Rivers, in the early morning when the muddy ground is frozen, and the first snow appears.
The Battle of Governolo in 1526 was a key engagement during the War of the League of Cognac, a conflict that pitted France, the Papal States, Venice, Florence, and Milan against the powerful Habsburg Emperor Charles V of Spain and the Holy Roman Empire.
I hope you like it :)
