The Eldar Wraithbaron. A project I've been working on for many months since Golden Demon 2023. Based on the Epic 40k Knight variants which had multiple sizes and the old lore about Knight houses, of which only one turned into the Wraithknight. The baron is a slightly smaller one, it stands between Lord and Knight.

300 hours were invested of sculpting it from scratch and all the work required to get it into physical form. 250 hours of painting. Handed in to in the Large/Vehicle category.

I tried to keep it as close to GW designs as I could by still making it a little different and not just a scaled up Lord. I gave it a shield and prism spear and made it bulkier and heavier armoured to reflect a defensive bulwark nature of the construct.

Additionally, I designed a rune to represent it properly which can be found on the plinth and on the base itself. The paint job is kind of well known, but I wanted to keep the vines more subtle and yet more impressive. So they are all painted in the embossed style.
