This is a model I painted in preparing for second class on painting miniatures with oils. It is made to be fun to paint for oil painters with bright big surfaces and readable and reachable materials offering varieties and challenges. Cloth, skin, tattoos and effects.

The model was designed with a water base and truth was I just thought it’d be fun to paint a water surface effect and see-through dive mask. But it poses quite a dilemma as to forcing the view this much. My son yelled out: what sort og sorcery is this!!! When he saw the dive mask. And I suppose it is rather cool, but a wiser option for display would just be a sky reflected etc.

It will only be used for oil class and is not a production piece. I actually ended up quite liking this pretty kitsch lady from the 70’s.

Thanks to Roman for the pictures (among many things). https://www.patreon.com/posts/review-jakob-oil-111252059 Here .you can read a few works about the oil class by Roman :)

Model is sculpted by Airat H., and it was my own art direction,

    Simply amazing.

Reminds me of Ursula Andress coming out of the water in Dr No.

There are many pieces where many people can say that they are amazing paintings. And this is one of them. Yet I think that on personal level this speaks to me more as it feels like how I would like to paint one day. And to me, this speaks so much volume. I do not know if you can call it realism or whatever, but the rendering of all parts is simply gorgeous and inspiring, and it really moves me. Thanks for sharing it, Jakob! Take care my friend!

The more you look at this piece of art, the more you realize how complex you have managed to render it. Zooming out you can really feel the mood. So pretty!
