Idril, Wisdom Star minibust by Bigchild Creatives

This was the second of 3 academic busts I painted in the first half of 2024 to try and push my painting skills and was done over about 2 weeks.

I found this model a real struggle, as I didn’t have a clear enough plan from the start with the lighting (especially the secondary blue light, which I don’t think turned out very well), so I found it very difficult to finish.

I don’t think this one came out as I imagined it might have and have difficulty seeing the final model as a success - but I learned a lot painting this model so am still happy with the progress I made, even if not so much with the final result.
