French Drum Major
I went a slightly different route with this, I have seen a lot of pictures put up by people who dress up and recreate military events and I felt that some of these were spot-on and probably represented a much more accurate image than are often shown in illustrations
With this one I saw a photo of a gentleman dressed as a drum major; he was clearly an older gentleman but unlike classic illustrations he couldn't be described as dashing. His hat was also 'well loved' and this felt truer.
