Finished a project recently whilst painting Athena and its the Mercenary Elf by Spira Mirabilis. As soon as I saw the miniature I wanted to paint it up as a High Elf from the old Warhammer game bringing in the nostalgia feels (haha).

This was a challenge as I went for a similar Lothern Sea Guard scheme, with blues, purple and whites, but added in bits of greens, peaches, greens and magentas throughout the scheme as well.

It was halfway through painting the miniature, I had a suggestion from Mr Andrew Buckley to give the elf a spear to fit the theme of a Lothern Sea Guard warrior. It was a great idea and thanks mate, but it was a bit nerve wracking altering a Spira sculpt haha. But it had to be done and I think it turned out pretty good.

Quite enjoyed adding the freehand sea dragon to the shield and helps to sell the idea of this chap being part of the Lothern Sea Guard.
Thanks to the Andrew Buckley and Ben Layton for firing me up through the piece as well! Thanks gents, needed the push haha

Onto the next project!

p.s the metal rod got painted at the base post pictures.....all fixed!
