Hello,
I would like to share my biggest project, which is a model from Neko Galaxy: Travel in the Desert Sea. In my mind, I wanted to explore the vastness of the desert-like landscape, the haunting beauty of the step where grasses meet water and the plains are wide and far. Well, it did not turn out that, at all. But I actually think it is for the best.

In a way this project is a story of a failure - I wanted to do a big model, which would stand out at the show - but failed to put it together in a way, which would feel natural and cohesive. The vehicle was supposed to be a little bit different colour and mainly I have failed in focusing the painting. and centring the whole piece. The backdrop takes so much attention from the model and overpowers everything. Just because painting clouds is much harder than I thought and the violet is just way too saturated, IMHO.

Overall I am glad it is done. I am happy that I decided to do this even though all the hurdles made along the way. Very ambitious project, but 2the pride, double the fall as Count Dooku says. Lot of lessons in this. Mainly about humility and working had and not biting too large of ng had and not biting too large of bite. But failures teach you much more than victories. Because if I am dissatisfied, then I need to go different direction.

I would also like to thank my friends for their help and push: Lukáš Žaba and Jan Soukup <3 Thanks guys. And my wife for her patience during painting this thing up!

Take care!

Magnifique ! Or

Thank you so much! I`m glad you like the combination. It indeed was daring to try to bridge the two styles. The resin pour was...my first-time experience and it was nerve-racking! I was so scarred but a good preparation helped me and got just two small leaks. I was hoping there would be less bubbles but I wanted to go to sleep :D

This is a fabolous scene and I like how you combined the natural look of the scenery with the manga-esque clouds in the back. It creates an unnatural feeling for it almost calming in a way. I wrote this before reading your context. Well, I did not see so much fail in that. I see potential and now with your words a great learning curve. I do like it!

Roman, I am honoured and glad you like it. The fact you thought it was calming means a lot. That was part of my intention. I see the failure more in the fact that my intention was one thing and I could not make it work how I wanted it to work. The whole piece is 28cm tall and I was not able to coherently put it together with a good focus point and with individual parts of the piece supporting each other, rather than being distracting from one another - at least that is the biggest drawback and my failure. Nevertheless, I loved creating it and I am proud of this piece and I did so many things for the first time that it definitely taught me a lot.
