Hello my friends!

I would like to share with you my latest finished miniature called ‘Resistance.’
I created this storytelling piece as a tribute to all women who have encountered domestic violence. The combination of an angry face, tears in her eyes, and a slap mark on her face evokes strong feelings in me. I used a bust called ‘Astrid, the Northern,’ produced by Fantasy Warriors Miniatures and sculpted by the talented Alejandro Muñoz. The painting itself was fun, mixed with negative emotions, especially when I was finding references for the slap or abused women. The main backlight with cast shadows was also challenging for me, but I like to learn new things with each of my works. The story is amplified by the broken piece of mirror on the base, where I placed the title ‘Resistance,’ as if it were written in blood or lipstick, depending on your preference.
