I did a full nmm painting and painted the wings non-iridescent iridescent (nii?). The challenge was making the underside of the wings look like petrol on water. Or have that effect. Whereas the topside of the wings has a different bug-like iridescence to it. I did a ton of research on iridescent bug wings and ended up using paint and acrylic inks to achieve the effect.
