First bust I've painted from Lucas Zaba, the textures on it are super smooth, loads of scope to actually paint creatively.

I am leaning into a lot of the tenebrous chiaroscuro for making pieces come to life.

Always wanting to challenge myself, I went for worn leather, tarnished metal a muted pallete. What I was particularly aiming for was trying to bring out the manic mental health and grimy underworld behind the character.

Stubble was an interesting experiment and I find freehand really challenging, but it will do!
