Alone Down Here
Here I present the Alone from the Brom Kickstarter by Mindworks Games, launching tomorrow. This is secondary Boxart for the Kickstarter.

The model is sculpted by Romain van den Bogaert.

I really wanted to capture the original artwork, and so I joined forces with the wizard Tue Kaae to expand on the actual scene and build a bigger top - as well as made a backdrop. Tue sculpted the top for me, and did an awesome job expanding the scene upwards.

The model itself is seen in the picture without the top, and I have not changed anything on the model itself, just added the extra weight above.

The original art shown below has a bit of an orangey feel, and I changed the main scene to be more greenish/blue and cold, but left some of this in the actual backdrop.

For me this model is gorgeous, with or without the top. It is incredibly sad and gives a feeling of deep longing in the solitary prison.
Since it was secondary box art, and four amazing versions were already shown, I really wanted to portray a different feel on it.

The model is released as part of an ambitious and huge campaign with a lot of other models - check them out.

    What a wonderful play of light and atmosphere. While it maybe a slightly different palette to Brom’s original painting, you have still nailed the mood and atmosphere.

    I also really like the addition of the wall and arch. It feels better framed, more complete and allows you to include the rays of light which bring that extra dimension to the painting.

    He’s wonderful dude.

    I like your version. It makes the feeling of some lonliness, discombobulation, and some childish naivity. Seems that the character just woke up and turned out himself in some uncommon place, state and reality without any clue how it could be possible and the pigeon in his hand like a toy that he had held before he ‘fell asleep’ and now woke up.
