Steel Wolf
My main entry for the cult of paint MPO competition this weekend was "Steel Wolf". Unfortunately I was unable to get a result in the master category, but am still incredibly proud of this result.
This awesome sculpt inspired me greatly with elements that reminded me of wolverine and sabertooth from marvel comics. Something about his face and beard gave me a very Cold War Russian feel like the winter soldier ( and maybe a little Rasputin )and put the idea of the eastern block Colossus and Deadpool at the back of mind. I thought it would be awesome if unlike wolverine with his metal claws, he turned his hands to metal like colossus but he kept his nails razor sharp like sabertooth and when he channeled his power his eyes start to glow and you see the power flow through his veins causing his claws to harden and he would just tear into his adversaries.
This idea set the scene for a villain or anti-hero ready for the final showdown in a burnt down forest in Siberia where the secret facility it all started was before the fire ....... or something like that

Very cool and beautiful paintjob! I just miss the cold feeling. It is winter, but it does not feel cold at all at the base and minature. The paintjob is superb and I voted gold! Well done! Keep on happy painting, mate!Michel
Awesome!
