'Bath Time'
2024
3D Print, 40mm

Really enjoyed putting this tiny bust into a imaginary bathtub full of foam. Washing it all away. For a long time this 3d-printed bust was used as an explanation piece in many lessons, classes and workshops I was teaching. She was once started during a private coachings session, but then abandoned. It was a joy to finish her up with a focus on the skin. My favourite part is the painted cast shadow from her arm over her chest. Hope you like her?

Attached you can see photos on grey background, plus size comparision to a bottle of paint, plus a photo in the cabinet beside other figures to provide a true sense of how the bust looks.
Keep on happy painting!

Yes, the arm shadow and the water dripping down from the left hand. What did you use for this water effect?

Thanks! Glad you enjoy this bath time :) ... Well the water was just a melted piece of plastic, several ones and then shaped with acrylic paste that dries clear.

This is Great!! - I would never have thought of 'bubble bath diorama texture'

Very nice and creative approach to this. Love how you managed to replicate the foamy texture! Skintone is, of course, brilliant, but I particularly like the way that you managed to get the hair to look wet. Inspiring work, my friend!

The atmosphere is great. It feels very fantasy-like and almost like a bath in a magical pool. I do not know if you did it with intention, but the blue spots really guide the eye around the miniature and around the photos. The bubbles are just a perfect touch. Another lovely piece.

Thanks a lot, Štěpán. Glad you like it and I am enjoying your thoughtful comments all over Putty these days. It makes a different reading these compared to short yells of "GOLD's" and it is very much appreciated to see that you are taking the time to look close. Thank you for commenting and leading as an example!

The bold blue accents are what makes the piece for me... also it looks like she is bathing in ice-cold water with snow on top of it, which combined with the blues I mentioned makes for a super cool (pun intended) effect
    • Roman LappatPLUS

Thank you so much, Piotr. Makes sense about the ice cold and snow look. Seems "foam" still needs a bit more study to work out in the end! Thank you!

Amazing, out of the box, piece of work again Roman! Very interesting to see such saturated blue at work in a warm environment. I like it a lot.
