Sybilla by @karolrudyk , this time in 75mm. I actually painted her a while ago but couldn't get around to taking decent enough photos, and wanted to think a bit about some ideas for a base/scene. Couldn't think of anything, so here she goes anyway!

This was a rather complicated project, I wanted to experiment with two radically different light sources on a mini - a cool, desaturated and diffuse light from the top and a saturated and intense warm glow from beneath. One other obstacle was her robes - they are sculpted as coalescing from the smoke produced by the fire in the brazier, and as such the whole fire-smoke-robe element had to be treated as a continous gradient (add to that the illumination from the fire!).

Also you know you've spent too much time painting busts when a 75mm scale face is too tiny for you to paint
