I wanted to create a scene with them and after doing some research the charge at Beersheba made sense. Unfortunately they didn't make other matching figures with different poses, just 1 light cavalryman and 1 infantryman, so I needed to think how to portray the charge with limited figures.
In the end I really needed an extra figure in the trench so took a German infantry figure from their range and cut away the helmet and parts of the uniform to resculpt in an attempt to fit with the standing Ottoman figure. To simulate other cavalry in the charge I added parts of cast shadows in different places, to try and give the suggestion of other horses/riders around (as I'd already used a shadow from the main cavalryman to illustrate the light direction I'd read in my research).
