just want to share my latest miniature with you. After ma last diorama I wanted to paint a single miniature again, something smaller and just for fun and giggles. :)
So I rummaged through some online stores to get an idea and there he was in all his glory! Johnny Rocket from the "Dress-a-Johnny" competition from Maow miniatures.
I think this miniature is limited to 400 pices if I remember correctly, it's made out of resin and has a nice quality. Very neat details, sharp edges and the wings fit perfectly. I think the miniature is kind of retro so I thought an old weathered building would be a perfect starting point for this miniature. So the idea for a base was set. We have a lift off! :)
The base is build out of Stewalin casting compound. I build a casting form out of plasticard around the wooden base. The top rim and the window rims are also made out of stewalin. I built a casting form out of plasticards and some rounded plastic profiles. After some sanding they were glued to the wall.
Well I think thats about it. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions for improvement I would be happy to hear/read them! :)
Best regards
