Decided yesterday that this tank project is done. And since we had a nice overcast sky today, I decided to get some better pictures of it.

This project is about sending a message to myself. That I should always try to paint in a way that feels natural to me - not how I think painting is done “correctly”. I should be bold and just use colours I love - not being afraid of vivid and saturated tones. Also I need to stop worrying about perfection - it will only get me down and is just mostly boring.

This project is about doing what you love to do in a way that feels natural to you.

I hope this tank inspires you to listen to yourself and not be afraid to bring your ideas to life. Something that i need to remind myself og almost every day.

… and for anyone interested in the tank model itself. It is from a series of cartoon style tanks, called “world war toons”, produced by Meng. They are really cheap and fun to paint

World war 2 meets splatoon. Great concept.

Love it! Such great use of colour. Very powerful and expressive.

Thank you Jakob. I was afraid thar the colours would maybe be a bit much… but then I remembered that it was me calling the shots and not my imagined idea of what good taste might be
