Kuzunoha, the fox of Shinoda
painted
by
Petrelka
A friend and I painted her together. While he chose a red fox scheme, I wanted to go the winter road and more into the grey foxes area. Also I substituted the provided resin fan with a more shine-through version so that one could at least get a glimpse of her face.
A bit of background information, taken from Manuels' Kickstarter of this bust:
Kuzunoha is a popular kitsune in the japanese folklore. She was the kami of Shinoda's temple and, assuming human form, she got married with the poet Abe no Yasuna. From this love was born Seimei, a legendary Wizard. Foxes, in Japanese mitology are powerful demons.
Painted in 2019.
