Here is a little painting exercise that I just did,
first foray for me into the world of small-scale figurines with this old Mithril piece, and somewhat transformed to make it this knight wearing his helmet at the time of departure.
The background decor is made of a plastic card that I sculpted and painted.

I do like how you have embossed the background, rather than just painting it, it embellishes the whole setting Eric

Great thanks Girlpainter. the back decor sculpt was just a trial run for future projects

belle petite pièce vu l'échelle !

Merci Marc. C'est vrai que c'est vraiment petit comme échelle, et la sculpture est ancienne, donc pas très top.

Lovely scene. I really like this scene due its warm colors and there are many interesting and good points about it. I do like how the knight fits well to the sunrise/or sunset. It is not very clear what it is. A yellow light coming from the right upper corner. I miss that the castle is also hit by this light, concerning the knight is hit by the yellow light that strong. Also I miss that yellow light on the ground. I do like the idea of sculpting the castle. It feels a little bit shaky and not straight, which is always bad for a castle. A little bit more time next time invested in the sculpt and I think you can easily solve this. I miss more photos from the side to see and understand how you tackled different angles of this project. I know how it is to work with a backdrop, but I try to show photos of all angles all the time.

Please do not take this as an offense just my honest impression and feedback. I vote a strong bronze for it. I am sorry that I am not part of the "Gold Voting Club" here on Putty&Paint;. Nice work with a lot of potential!
