Model from Mindwork Games, based on the classic PJ illustration. I had a lot of fun with this. My goal was to try and capture the essence of the original while still making it mine. The original drawing is quite dark, and that wasn’t what I wanted when holding it in my hand. So I went with higher value and color saturation, and tried to find the dynamic ambience through the use of more extreme contrasting light sources. I’m pretty happy with the final result in terms of capturing the atmosphere I wanted.

I painted this piece primarily with Reaper MSP and Kimera. I also used emerald and Naples yellow from Scale artist, and my favorite sunny skin tone right now from AK
