'MERICA!'

a project that was born from a moment I call "when creativity strikes" - a wild project with many twists. Took me several years to finally finish this concept and idea.

I love the USA.
Have been there several times from my youth on and with my career as a miniature painter. Meet wonderful people there and made friends. I do not carry any bad feelings towards America or what it stands for. Yet, I wanted to create a diorama that is a bit more on the artsy side of things. A diorama that leaves room for interpretation. I wanted to show what the “American Dream” can stand for, but still leave it open for everyone’s own interpretation. I do not want to drop too many words about a justification, an excuse, or an explanation of what I created here. I just wanted to say that there is no bad emotion or bad thought behind this diorama, and I hope that no one feels offended. If anyone is, I apologize.

The things that the USA do wholearoung the world definitely disputable and there are lots of those who hate them as well as lots of those who praise. Unbiased sight on their actions definitelly tells that they behave as would behave any other strong country to protect their interests. But still, understanging of all those things not alwatys mean acceptance and vice versa. The only thing about the USA is the fact that they pushed all mankind through many experiences, both negative and positive. Your work really captures many aspects of this great country, regardless of anyone's opinion, and it's a unique work of art that I also hope will not offend anyone, but will simply allow people to look at it without hatred.

Excellent capture of our current demise, IMHO. I agree with your perception completely. Being a Yank I love what this country "Used" to stand for, now degrading at a more rapid pace since 2008, and in warp speed as we speak today. A constitutional Republic can only stand amongst a moral and ethical people, requiring constant vigilance. Freedom is never free, nor convenient, and trusting in those who wield power has historically proven dangerous. I call it the “Nero” syndrome. Fine work Roman, no offense taken at all, just an honest assessment, IMHO. Read of John Paul Jones, September 23, 1779, his famous quote, how apropos.

Great little piece. Sports, junk food, gambling, guns, military, Liberty. We are all slaves to the mighty dollar. No offense taken. I've been here my whole 58 years and watched it go from land of dreams to down the rabbit hole. Cheers!

American here too, but spent time in Canada. You captured the USA well. Plenty of beauty but also an outrageous nature and sometimes preposterous. And we like loud things - like jets ;) I do hope things improve someday. We got a lot of potential for good, if it doesn't get squandered. Next challenge - do another country! :)
