A complex and controversial figure, George Armstrong Custer (1839-1876) directly or indirectly inspired a large number of westerns. A brilliant officer of the American Civil War who became the youngest major general in the US army, he quickly had the concern to stage his character and his career.
I took great pleasure in painting this figurine which was for me an experience of first historical bust.

Brillant officier de la guerre civile américaine devenu le plus jeune général de division de l’armée US, il eut très vite le souci de mettre en scène son personnage et sa carrière.

J'ai pris un immense plaisir à peindre cette figurine qui à été pour moi un experience de premier buste Historique.
J'espère de tout coeur correspondre à la réalité d'un grand homme et j'espère également que ma manière de la peindre va vous plaire ..........
