It's the first time I felt I could actually give a title to a piece of mine.
This version of the beautiful, expressive bust by @the_secret_workshop and @ferminiatures was inspired by Plato's allegory of the cave, in which a man who has lived his entire life in a dark cave finally exits it and sees sunlight for the first time. I tried to convey this feeling with this figure, placing strong, cold shadows on his back, and an equally strong light on the left side of his face, to evoke the feeling of man on a precipice between two worlds, perhaps stepping into the unknown, or being (quite literally and figuratively) enlightened.
