My first diorama in years. Inspired by a contest at Brush Brothers and Sisters Forum where we had to do up a mini or scene from our favorite fairy tale. I chose Sleeping Beauty because it is my daughter's favorite movie. Specifically the scene where the prince fights Maleficent in her dragon form, surrounded by flames. However, I wanted to try something different and went for a cartoon/ chibi look. It was very hard to do and I found that to stay true to cartoon style, I had to break a lot of painting rules and just do what looked good as opposed to what was physically right. It was very fun!
