This one is a 3D print from a friend. Glad friend printed her, but there were/are some icky print lines to deal with. I resculpted the eyes, since I don't like pre-sculpted irises. The painting process had two goals: try painting darker skin tones, and relax. A family pet had just died and I was sad, so I just wanted to do a relaxing paint job and learn a little in the process. The "Cozy" bust is a relaxing subject to paint. Naturally I made the "relaxing" task harder by deciding to freehand/stipple a sweater instead of just going for a basic solid color. But stippling isn't hard, just time consuming, so that's okay. She's not my best paint job, but I'm still happy with how she turned out. She filled the role of learning and relaxing well.

The pattern was born of me going "ehh.... let's see how this goes". It seems to have kept the warm-and-fuzzy impression suitable for being Cozy :)
Thanks <3 He was a very old palomino horse. Really hit hard since I didn't get to see him in the time right before he passed, as I was in another country during covid lockdown eras, then swamped in academia. He'd been a good friend throughout childhood.

Pourquoi devrais je me gêner puisque "Cyradis" s'évertue à me mettre systématiquement un vote bronze sur toutes mes pièces, quelle que soit leur qualité, sans jamais se justifier et avec visiblement le seul plaisir de voir la note chuter. De telles personnes sont nuisibles et devraient être bannies purement et simplement de ce site.
Deux derniers votres sur deux pièces qui n'avaient à présent reçues que de l'or = Bravo !
If you paint something worthy of a higher medal, I'll vote that way. But figures with poor base coats of paint and little to no shading or highlighting are not what make golds.
My own figure here is not gold worthy - but it does have shading and highlighting and visual interest. You're welcome to down-vote it. It isn't top notch work by standards of this website. My shading is only mediocre on the hair, but fairly strong on the face. There are a few print lines I didn't clean up. The mug is obviously rushed and not planned out. The flower pattern is pretty lazy and poorly planned; it looks good because we expect fabric to be stretched and squashed a bit, but it really isn't ideal. I didn't adequately dust the figure before taking the picture. The photo quality is mediocre at best.

Je viens de reprendre les pinceaux, j'espérais que vous auriez disparu de ce site ou que vous auriez changé de comportement.
Nous sommes des amateurs qui pour la plupart ont besoin d'encouragements pour ce qui n'est qu'un loisir.
Ne détruisez pas à coup de notations anonymes et surtout systématiques, le plaisir des autres.

I'm an amateur painter too. I'd hoped that you'd have tired of harassing me for using the site as it was intended. It isn't an encouragement to always be told you are perfect. If you aren't comfortable with the public seeing your work, then don't post it. I literally say nothing mean to you on your work, and do nothing rude or disrespectful. But I get harassed. Knock it off.
C'est bien là ce que l'on vous reproche, non le bronze mais le fait de ne pas avoir le courage de dire pourquoi. J'ai reçu d'autre bronze qui ne m'ont pas dérangés, leur auteur les avait commenté et m'ont conseillé pour l'avenir et encouragé à mieux faire !
Je ne vous harcèle pas, c'est mon premier message depuis bientôt deux ans !! je vous explique le ressenti de tous ceux qui ne supportent pas la mauvaise note non commentée ....
Mais peut-être ne savez vous pas le motif de votre mauvaise notation
