Small scale bust from 9th Gate Miniatures.
Allthough this is from the Pirate of the Caribbean serie, I portrayed her more in a victorian Dracula setting.
Becuase of her feared look, I had more a Katie Holmes vibe and thought immediately of Bram Stokers' Dracula movie.
And a great oppurtunity to work with backgrounds again.
Basework hadmade with bluefoam, roots, brush and airbrush.
Model is all brushwork.

Such a beautiful scene. It really helps to catch the fear of the character. The backdrop is wonderful and it creates a strong frame of darkness to the full scene. I voted silver. I do like so much of it. The constructive Feedback I have is: Fear of the dark with such a strong frame of darkness and she looks not in darkness at all. She is like at noon at a market place from the hue of colors used. Means she is not connected to the scene, story and backdrop colorwise. Emotional, expressional yes. I miss this to vote a gold medal.

Thank you Roman, also for the time taken to comment and giving pointers. I was more focussed on the individual elements and not as a whole. call it tunnelvision. But something to taken into account for future projectes.
