Sculpted by Mujin Park, this sculpt has a lot of emotions. I received it early as this is secondary box art for Nordlys, where first box art is painted by fantastic Nguyen Quang Huy. Huy took a different approach and his look a lot more like a manga-ish feel, and I loooved it! But it posed the troubles of figuring out how to not just copy Huy. <br
I asked Mujin, and he said that it was basically these two life partners at the end of their paths, staring at the light at the end of the tunnel.
Oh man! That is some dark stuff. I sat with this model for almost an hour twisting it around, and suddenly I just felt that story. <br />
Companions. Worked whole life and now about to step out of the tunnel. Compassion, peace, sadness, dignity. <br />
I figured it would be interesting that he was just a contemporary character. In his Amazon worker’s denim shirt. <br />
The beautiful big puppy dog is a Bernese Mountain Dog. And I loved painting him too. Old, tired and peaceful. <br />
I hope you see what I wanted to do with it. I have my dog, Kali, on my right, and my cat, Rosa, to my left as I write this, sitting on my couch with a cup of coffee. Everyone at peace. Resting. I hope there will be love around me until the end of my trails. What more can one wish for. <br />
