A classic and a personal favourite of mine.
To give it a proper old school vibe I equipped it with a face shield (sporting my first ever free-hand painting, both on the front and the rear).
As the mini is quite a plain one, I tried to give it some visual interest by differentiating the metal parts and their weathering effects.
The base took longer than expected to complete as I used it to make some experiments: the theme for my next bases will be a beech forest, hence the necessitiy to determine a standard way to replicate moss, leaves, fungi, lichen, etc.
I used as many natural elements as possible, as I find their inherent delicacy hard to match by artificial products.
Hope you like it.

Edited in order to make rear view visible.
Edited again to boast about winning the prestigious Golden Gobbo 2021 painting contest (it actually ended in a draw -> visit http://forum.oldhammer.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=28222 to see all the entries).
