Witch’s Hat
painted
by
Kara Nash
I'm not huge into converting minis or busts. It's not something I immediately jump to.
But there are only so many ways to keep a mini fresh, I mean how many ways can you paint a goblin and a squig?
And I got this idea in my head. Not warlike, just sort of gentle and funny. The idea was a goblin children's crossing attendant, or maybe of a concerned grandparent taking the kids to school. And I'm fond of the mix up of fantasy and post-apocalyptic future times. And like cockroaches, goblins are a hardy creature.
There is a mix of 3d sculpted and printed objects and traditional sculpting. I made the witches hat in Blender and printed a ton of them in different sizes and levels of kinked disarray. The keys are all keys from real life including the key found on Edgar Allen Poe's body, a slaver's key and another 18th century key.
In Australia traffic cones are also known as Witches Hats.
