Here is my painting of this fantastic 1/10 bust from Dog Tag models, masterfully sculpted by Nino Lorenzoni who managed to capture a wonderful sinister and evil expression in his sculpting. I choosed to paint him as a Waffen SS as a variation, check out Eduardo Fernandez Rodriguez version of him as Wehrmacht.
Wow, the ammo belt is outstanding, the leather work is superb, as is the rest of his equipment, and the zeltbahn is excellent. The face, although very well done, doesn't do it for me though.
Thank you, well, it was an experiment trying to make him look evil, dark and moody. Could probably have been done a lot different but it was a fun and playful experiment and I alway keep learning :)
Magnus, learning and having fun is what this hobby is all about, and sometimes pushing different techniques or boundaries. I'm trying something myself for the first time atm, OSL that should represent moonlight... it's a steep and scary learning curve ;-)

The combination of the sculpt and the paint job really captures how war steals the soul of a soldier. This is so different from many others which seem to go for the glory side only. The more I study this one, the more I like it.
