Reiknor the Grimhaler and Kyallaron
"Once a sorcerer-king rich in the knowledge of amethyst magic, Reikenor ran afoul of Nagash. Now, in undeath, the Grimhailer is cursed to serve the Great Necromancer, acting as his chief reaper of souls. There are few sights more ominous than the macabre wraith-wizard atop his winged steed, the Nightmare Kyallaron, lit by the eerie light of his corpse candles. Through his incantations, Reikenor can summon a variety of deadly spells---a dark vengeance delivered to those who would thwart Nagash."

I love the aggressive and sinister look of this model. The tattered cloak, rusted armor, skeletal ribs, leathery wings, and other features make this model magnificent in a macabre sort of way.

Reknor and Kyallaron are molded over the statue of a sinister winged skeleton which is inserted right into a graveyard base. The skeleton statue provides great support despite its frail appearance.

I painted the model with acrylic colors. Spectral effects are done with teal acrylic ink and oil paints. Weathering is done using the pigments of ground pastel chalk. C&C welcome!

Nice painting! Since you asked for C&C, here is a wee bit: the blue wings are amazing, but they are overpowering the rider and the mount's head. I almost didn't notice them, because the blue is so dominant and they are so subdued. If you add a bit more visual interest, such as brighter midtones and highlights on the skeletal "faces" then the viewer's eye will be drawn to that location more. The awesome blue wings would be a frame, instead of all-encompassing. You definitely have the skill to pull it off! :) Happy painting!

Nice! That's awesome advice. Will take heed of this on my future projects. :)
