The first time I saw this beautiful bust, I knew I had to paint "her". I think Alexander Deryabin did a great sculpture work and I fell in love with her at first sight.

I wanted to simulate a "dusty looking" with paints in the whole figure, skin, hair and fabrics. I tryed to achieve a soft and delicate aspect, because it was what was fashionable in the 18th century.

I hope you like Violette...I gave to her this name because this color, violet, was the first one about which I thought to paint her when I saw her for the fist time :-)

A kiss: Pepa.

Hi Danny!! To attend at SMC contest I tried to bring together some of my figures and bust in a good display, because I knew out of Spain my works have been rarely seen all together...So, I decided to ask to some collectors, who had part of my figures, in order that they politely lended them to me for this contest....And they said "yes"...And this made me very happy:-) I´m very pleased to meet you too, Thanks ;-). Thanks Karsten, glad you like she ;-) Kisses Both: Pepa.
