Before I started painting her I realised I really wanted a freehand on her robe. As she is a darf elf the cooler color palette appealed more, but I tried to get some hits of warmth in there to counter all the blue tones somewhat. I'm not a color expert and mostly just look at a color wheel, see what is possible and then in the end still decide by what 'feels' right.
I could do alot better on light placements and realism as well, but it's a work in progress, slowly I learn a little bit more every day :)

C&C is as always welcome

PS: the base has a flaw, but since I fought for 2 days already with it I'll keep it like this for now and probably give her an upgrade later on.

This is a great piece! The cloth and the metal is so crisp and well blended, the freehand is lovely! The downside is that the smoke-stuff isn't really up to par with the cloth and the metal - almost like it is a WIP compared to the other sections. It could use a bit more hue and tone variation to give it visual interest. Lovely work and I look forward to seeing more of your pieces on here :)

Thank you! It was a deliberate choice to keep the smoke more desaturated and textured. An attempt at difference in texture to try and capture differences in visual interest as well. Not meant as a defense, more of an explanation of my though process. Your view on it is appreciated :)
