From the beginning I wanted to paint something different rather than Space Wolves, Empire or any other clean, posh and polite model.
I realized that apart from Chaos (which I personally hate) the Tyranids could give me that extra boost that I needed to paint something different than usual.
The paintjob took me around 500 hours, and it does not have any conversions at all.
