I looked at a lot of Hajime Sorayama chrome robot girl paintings for reference and 3D models of torsos with reflective materials in some modelling software to get an idea of where the horizon etc. should be placed. The painting itself is fairly simple - just using fine repetitive brushstrokes to give the impression of scratches in the highlights etc.

Thanks Tim (Not sure how the previous reply got here). I'm glad you say this. I was happy with how the face turned out -It is actually the part I am most satisfied with. Part of this is the model - The features are very clear and well defined which makes it easy to paint and ideal as an anatomic/academic bust
