Kalimachos, ancient greek hoplite Polemarchos (warlord)
This is a grey primed, resin 32mm tabletop miniature of a greek hoplite officer (or just a wealthy enough citizen) of the 5th century BC. It is based on archaeological finds and pottery depictions. The original master was sculpted mainly from beesputty and green (or grey) stuff. Its part of a set of 6 resin historical miniatures.
Historically Kalimachos was the last man to occupy the office of Warlord of Athens. After his death in the battle of Marathon where he fought valiantly, the 10 generals took full command and the Warlord institution, a remnant of the aristocratic past, was abolished.

Very good visualisation of Kalimachos! An underestimated hero of one of the most important battles in the known history of the west! This could also be used as a bronze statue model on an ancient Greek diorama no? The pose sure helps and the helmet is bery impresive
